Privacy Policy
Prism is designed to collect as little as possible. There are no accounts, and files you upload are temporary. This policy explains what is processed and for how long.
No account
You do not sign up or provide personal details to use Prism.
What we process
- The media you upload (video, and any background image/video) and the channel files and exports derived from it — solely to provide the editing and export you request.
- Minimal technical data, such as your IP address and basic request information, used to operate the service and prevent abuse (for example, rate limiting).
Your media is processed automatically with ffmpeg. It is not viewed by us, sold, or shared, and it is not used to train anything.
Stored in your browser
Prism keeps two things in your browser's localStorage: a
per-video access token for each clip you import (so
only you can reach your videos), and your
theme preference. Tokens are sent to the server only
to authorize access to your own video. No tracking cookies are used.
Retention & automatic deletion
Uploaded videos, their derived files, and exports are automatically deleted after 24 hours of inactivity. Opening or editing a video resets that timer. Prism is not a storage service — please keep your own copies. You can also remove a video from your device at any time with the Forget action, which discards its access token.
Sharing
Your videos are private to you unless you generate a share link. A share link contains the access token, so anyone you send it to can open that video. Only share it with people you trust.
Service providers
The service runs on third-party hosting infrastructure that processes data on our behalf to store and transform your files while they exist.
Children
Prism is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA), and should not be used by them.
Security
Access is gated by per-video tokens and files are short-lived. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please do not upload anything you consider sensitive.

We may update this policy; the date above reflects the latest version.
